Legion Imperialis – September update

More Legion Imperialis Progress! This time, I’ve wrapped up my Baneblades and Arvus Lighters, and finally added enough detail to my Reaver Titan to call it „done”.

I’ve been expanding my Solar Auxilia force by running a mini-campaign with friends. „Campaign” might be a bit of a stretch—it’s more of a loosely organized set of scenarios, with some off-board storytelling to tie everything together. Despite the quirks and balance issues in the game, it’s been a blast.

The Alpha Legion and Death Guard are up against the combined might of the Solar Auxilia. Last two hard-fought battles were won by Loyalists (mostly via application of Ogryn violence).

Now we’re gearing up for the final showdown, and I’m ready to call my Solar Auxilia finished after that. I’m planing to shift my focus to Space Marines, Mechanicum, and Knights for our next campaign.

The most fun I’ve had so far, though, has been with the Reaver Titan. I picked out its color scheme ages ago, but recently realized it perfectly matches Legio Krytos, „the Godbreakers.” Naturally, I jumped at the chance to use their heraldry, though I quickly discovered just how tricky it is to paint their emblem by hand!

After a lot of effort, I’m happy with the result, but still can’t shake the feeling it looks a bit out of place. For now, I’ll leave it be and come back to it later if needed.

With the Solar Auxilia army looking pretty solid, I’m taking a break from Legion Imperialis for a bit—at least until I’m ready to get my marines painted and battle-ready.
